WHY DO I WANT TO BE A SCIENTIST?

“I study myself more than any other subject. That is my metaphysics, that is my physics,” said Montaigne. I am seriously and primarily trying to learn about myself and grow educationally and emotionally. As can be seen from my website, blog posts, and podcast, I am obsessed with growth. The most distinctive feature of Homo sapiens that distinguishes it from its other species is the ability to rethink and re-discuss a concept he considers. This reminds me of growth and development, of philosophizing about myself. For me, the great game, the ultimate goal of life is learning about yourself. In my opinion, all human learning efforts to date come from the self.

In the first weeks of life, a person is a solipsist. In other words, he thinks his environment is a part of himself. That's why we call the first children of philosophy "natural philosophers". They wanted to know nature, but actually themselves.

Similar to this example, I want to study science. Learning about the universe, my environment, light, and subatomic particles; Actually, I want to know myself. I want to know what black holes actually do. I want to think about whether string theory can be experienced physically, whether movement at the speed of light can be achieved, and whether mind transfer can be possible. Could what we know so far be wrong? Because I am ready for such a scenario. Science; keeps transforming and changing, in a very Heraclitusian way.

I live in such a society that whenever I talk about my dreams or goals, people look at me as if I were crazy. But I understand, you can't fit big ideas into small minds and sometimes you are smart only if you are crazy enough. That's why physics seems magical. Sometimes everything is so incredible that; only if you understand enough about physics, you cannot understand it. The job of great physicists is, first and foremost, to be amazed by what they learned. And I am so passionate that I will never give up, even if I can't go to the school I want, even if I can't be where I want, and even if people don't believe it, I swear I will succeed. Because I am very ready to be surprised, to not understand, to be angry, to love, and to embrace the whole mass of knowledge. I am very ready to be "me".
